What does an IT Technician 2 do?

  • Troubleshoot advanced computer and network problems
  • Provide L2 help desk support
  • Provide mentoring/training for L1 help desk support
  • Provide advanced Active Directory setup and administration
  • Be the model for excellent written documentation
  • Liaison with 3rd party vendors in order to support the customer
  • Assist and take major roles in projects
  • Above all, work with team members to ensure a positive internal and external customer experience

Are you a fit for this role? We are seeking someone with the following experience:

  • 5+ years in a technical support role
  • Extensive experience with setup and administration of Windows Servers, Active Directory, firewalls/routers, and core network protocols
  • Intimate understanding of small/medium network designs
  • Extensive experience with backup solutions and concepts
  • Attention to detail and dedication to maintaining organization even when things are hectic
  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Highly desired: MCSE or MCITP Certification
  • Highly desired: Experience in an IT Services company (aka Managed Service Provider)
